Employees have the right to be free from human-rights based harassment in the workplace. This may also include bullying on the basis of one’s race, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity or disability. This also includes sexual harassment and sexual solicitation by a supervisor or manager.

Employers are also required to implement a harassment policy which allows employees to file harassment (including sexual harassment) complaints internally with their employer. The employer is required to investigate any complaint filed and take appropriate corrective action.

Employees are protected against retaliation, or threat of retaliation, for seeking to enforce their rights as stated above.

Have your particular matter assessed by an experienced Workers’ Rights Lawyer to obtain advice on what actions you may take if you are dealing with harassment in the workplace.
